Another company has been added to the Leaping Bunny certification scheme, giving compassionate shoppers even more choice: The Konjac Sponge Company. The brand produces a range of plant-based sponges, made from 100% vegetable fibre, and with options enriched with French clay and bamboo charcoal. The sponges aim to exfoliate and cleanse the skin, without the use of additional soaps or cleansers. They are 100% natural and biodegradable, and can be composted once finished with. The sponges are all vegan and are free from artificial additives. A smaller size is also available for babies, or for use as a make-up sponge!
Michele Riley, the company director, told us, “As a green and ethical company selling a natural range of skin care products, we felt it important to show that we have deep morals, and are truly committed to animal rights and cruelty prevention.
For us the ethics of natural and cruelty free go hand in glove, and we would never ever consider selling a product that has been through an animal testing process. Of course, we in the office know this, but to get that message across to our customers, the certification and international Leaping Bunny recognition means we can shout our beliefs and values out to the world, with one simple and effective image.
We are so proud to be carrying the Leaping Bunny symbol, it means so much to us, and we know it makes a big difference to our customers too. The Leaping Bunny speaks volumes, and has people listening. Thank goodness for organisations like Cruelty Free International!"
