BUAV to hold Parliamentary Reception calling for an end to the use of cats and dogs in research

The BUAV is today holding a Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons for MPs and other invited guests to hear about the Our Best Friends campaign, calling on the Government to end the use of dogs and cats in experiments. The event which is to be hosted by Mr Henry Smith MP, will also include speeches by a number of guest speakers.

At the reception we will be showcasing our ground-breaking new analysis carried out by the BUAV, in conjunction with FRAME (Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Research), which has shown that using dogs in experiments to predict toxic responses in humans is not scientifically justifiable. The film, Born To Die, featuring the BUAV's recent undercover investigation at MSD Animal Health will also be shown.

The BUAV is urging the Government to end the use of cats and dogs in research. Please support our campaign by asking your MP to sign EDM 514.
