Please ask your MP, Graham Stuart, to take action for the Yorkshire Beagles

Please send the following message to your MP, Graham Stuart.  Please feel free to put this into your own words but remember that polite messages will be the most effective for animals.  His email address is graham.stuart.mp@parliament.uk

Dear Graham Stuart MP

I am a local resident and have lived at [location] in your constituency for [number] years.

I am sorry to learn that B&K Universal has decided to appeal the decision made by local Councillors last year to refuse their plans to expand a beagle and ferret breeding facility in Grimston.

As a local resident, I feel strongly that this should not be allowed in our constituency.

The Planning Inspectorate has provisionally taken the view that the appeal should be decided in secret by written submissions.  I do not believe my views will get a fair hearing unless there is an open and public inquiry into the matter, with complicated evidence tested by cross-examination.

As my MP, I ask that you represent my views on this matter by urgently writing to the Planning Inspectorate to lend your support for a public inquiry into the appeal. The Secretary of State has accepted that the appeal is controversial by reserving the final decision to himself.

I look forward to your response.

Many thanks

Dear Sir or Madam

Re: APP/E2001/1/14/2219468

I am a local resident of Beverley and Holderness constituency, in which the B&K Universal animal breeding facility is located.

I am sorry to learn that B&K Universal has decided to appeal the decision made by local Councillors last year to refuse plans to expand a beagle and ferret breeding facility in Grimston.

I understand that the Planning Inspectorate has taken the provisional view that the appeal should be decided by written submissions.  I do not believe my views will get a fair hearing unless there is an open and public inquiry into the matter, with complicated evidence tested by cross-examination, and I urge you to review your decision. The Secretary of State has accepted that the appeal is controversial by reserving the final decision to himself.

I look forward to your response.

Many thanks
