BUAV campaign to stop animal lab in Malaysia makes international headline news
The BUAV campaign to stop the construction of an animal laboratory in Malaysia has hit the international media headlines following statements made by a Malaysian minister defending the proposal. The story has appeared in publications such as The Guardian and The Washington Post:

The international campaign launched by the BUAV, along with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Selangor, Friends of the Earth Malaysia (SAM) and the European Coalition to End Animal Experiments (ECEAE) is sponsoring a petition urging the Government of Malaysia to dissociate itself from this proposal to build an animal testing facility by a contract testing company in India.
A similar proposal last year by a French research company to build a primate testing laboratory in Johor state was suspended following our campaign.
