BUAV to give oral evidence to Lords

As a follow-up to the BUAV’s written evidence, the BUAV has now been asked to give oral evidence to the House of Lords select committee. The committee is holding an inquiry into the views on the draft directive for the revision of European legislation (Directive 86/609/EEC) governing the use of animals in experiments.

On 8 July, members of the BUAV team will  have  the chance to explain our position on the revised legislation while also answering the Committee’s questions.

The BUAV welcomes this important opportunity to speak out for the 12 million animals who suffer in EU laboratories every year.

The session will be broadcast live on the internet at 10:30am.
